      @@chefjaysonrecipes thanks for watching! Well, if I was given the choice, I would make the drink using the ingredients I planned on... Then trial it both ways using fructose and cane sugar. I would do a side by side comparison of the overall flavor. If they taste exactly the same, then I would figure out other deciding factors such as cost, the USP of the shop, customers and what they expect, the ability to source it, etc. Hope this helps!

    Using hot tap water isn't usually considered to be a good thing because of the possibility of unwanted things being leached into that water. Alternative: pre-heat some water in an electric water kettle.

    How many of these tips you gave are still applies today since you made this Video? (1) did they start making restaurant quality boba with lower cooking time? (2) do they make high quality boba now with more than 4 hours of stay fresh time? Just curious if we as buyers need to make changes accordingly?

    • @BubbleTeaKristin
      @BubbleTeaKristin 25 дней назад

      Hello 👋🏼 Interesting questions 🤔 1.) I have actually tried some recent samples of tapioca pearls that are both frozen and or shelf stable which come in individual packets and only need to be microwaved for a few seconds. They taste almost as good as the traditional way of making the tapioca pearls in a boba shop. They've become so good now that you wouldn't even be able to tell the difference if you didn't know in advance. However the price point is much much higher. But it would technically save on time and potentially resources as there are no leftover pearls. I still have yet to cook raw tapioca pearls that are traditional restaurant quality style and need less cooking time. It seems like all of the five and 10 minute and even 20 minute cooking ones just aren't as good as the type that I'm using in this video. Except for of course the first example I shared. 2.) not that I know of. If you do find any let us know as this is one of the major situations that bubble tea shops run into is that once the pearls get past that for our time period, they're really just not as good as they were fresh anymore. Not much more to say on it. 😅 Hope this helps!

    Hello Kris..congrats for your great Chanel AND for the great work. I am from Mexico. I have a Bubble Tea shop as well. I have a question,for large batchs of Tea ( like 10 liters), do you recomend the use of percolators? Or the regular way of heating the Water and steeping the Tea leaves!! Thanks

    • @BubbleTeaKristin
      @BubbleTeaKristin 26 дней назад

      Hello 🤗 Thank you for your kind comment. 😇 I get asked this question a lot as there are these new machines on the market that guarantee an excellent brew from percolating tea leaves. Really it comes down to personal preference in my opinion. And also the recipe that you will be using. For the recipes that I used in my shops, I found I liked having control over a full steep for a full amount of time at a certain temperature. I don't think I would have enjoyed using the percolating machines because the tea leaves don't reach full saturation and therefore you need to use more of them to get a stronger flavor and to me that way you are losing money... I prefer the old fashioned traditional method of doing a full steep at a certain temperature with a certain quantity for a certain amount of time. 😅 Hopefully this makes sense and helps you to make a decision. You could always go the old fashioned route which is free, and then if you find in the future you have extra money and you want to do side by side comparisons to figure out if you are offering the ideal product for your customers, in the future you can buy a percolating machine give it a go and see how it works out for you. All the best!!! 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

    • @BubbleTeaKristin
      @BubbleTeaKristin 28 дней назад

      Hello 👋🏼 Personally I think if you brew it using the method I am showing here, the flavor will be stronger. A machine that only percolates coffee, such as a coffee machine, is not saturating the leaves fully for an intense extraction of flavor and brew... I would say give it a try and do a side by side taste test comparison to figure out which you prefer more. 😉

      You could do as you're asking. 👍🏻 But it's a good idea If you're only making one batch at home or for a party. If you have a shop and you plan on making more than one batch, what will you transfer the tapioca pearls to while you are cooking another batch that takes an hour and a half? If it's summer and the weather is warm, you can transfer it to whatever you want. But if it's colder, you'll need to keep it warmly insulated... So up to you really 😁

      Hello, I have already put a large batch recipe in the description of the video for you. Here it is: ~ 20 person batch - pre-made in a container to pour over ice Sugar = 20.29 oz (UK 600ml) Hot Water = 79.8 oz (UK 2.36 litres) Lemon Juice = 40.6 oz (UK 1.2 litres) Cold Water = 79.8 oz (UK 2.36 litres) Monin Blueberry Fruit Purée = 10.14 oz (UK 300ml) Monin Basil Concentrate = 1.7 oz (UK 50ml) (Make up the batch in advance. Once you're ready to serve into cup over ice, taste one cup before serving to guests to make sure if more water should be added to the batch or not. Because you're not shaking it, the water volume might need to be higher.)

    Hello, thank you so much for taking your time to gives us all these important information. I originally lives in USA but I’m planing to move back to my country DR to open small bubble tea shop but I have noticed it that people here doesn’t know too much about Asian teas. I just have an small concern, back in February I rent a kiosk in my city for the carnaval season and I let few people try the Jasmine/green fruit tea and their were few people the said that jasmine tea has an perfume small and taste haha which their weren’t sure about liking it or not . The problem is I already shipped all my Jasmine green tea to my country 😢What do you think? Should i also add Green tea and ket them choose which base tea they want? I’m afraid they’re not going to like my fruit tea drink with Jasmine green tea base. Thank you!

    • @BubbleTeaKristin

      Hello 🤗 Interesting. I am wondering... Did you let people try JUST the tea... Or let them drink a bubble tea (with fruits and/or syrup) added to it?! The reason is because as a stand alone product, it would be too intense probably... But mixed into a bubble tea, it really helps the product to taste better actually. Hopefully this makes sense. Lemme know the answer if you know what I mean above. 😇
